Living for God’s Glory

Need some motivation at the start of a new week? Discouraged by all the evil in our world? Frustrated by the false accusations that seem to be increasing against anyone who believes in Jesus and his Word?

Here’s Peter’s encouragement in the Bible: “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us” (1 Peter 2:12). Even in a pagan world, even when false accusations abound, God has a goal for you and me: Let our lights shine by living good lives to God’s glory. Of course, that’s only possible when Jesus’ forgiveness and grace fill our lives. In a world that loves accusing Christians of doing wrong, with God’s strength, let’s live such good lives that those who don’t believe see our good deeds and glorify God.
