Does it feel like everyone is against you? Do you feel attacked for no reason? Does it seem like the good you do is repaid with evil? You’re not the only one. Read these words from King David:
“My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent, for people who are wicked and deceitfulhave opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause. In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship” (Psalm 109:1-5).
When it seems like everyone is against you, pour out your heart to God. And remember this: Even if everyone else is against you, God isn’t. He loves you. He is for you. He proved it when Jesus died for us on the cross. This is our hope. This is our confidence! “Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love” (Psalm 109:26).
