“My faith is just between me and God.” Have you heard that? Have you said that? It’s not true! Says who? God! Here’s how the Bible puts it: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10). We are saved by faith in Jesus. What a blessing! But faith isn’t just something in your heart. Faith is something that’s on your mouth. That you talk about. That you confess. That you share.
That’s why your faith isn’t just between you and God. God wants you to find a church that teaches his Word. He wants you to attend that church often and declare your faith over and over again to those who are there. He wants you to speak about your faith at home and at work and in the car. He wants what you believe in your heart to be on your mouth over and over again, so that others may know and believe in Jesus too. Don’t be afraid. Jesus is with you! Let’s believe and declare our faith today.

Thank you for this truth. I am guilty of feeling this way. Society has been telling us to not share our religious and political views for many years now because it leads to arguments. I am blessed that I have been able to share my faith at the hospital I work at. I pray for God to help me be a witness and open doors for me to share the love of Jesus. It is pretty awesome when I know God made this happen for me. I actually had this happen over the weekend with a terminally ill patient. I’m blessed to have a believing buddy at work that was going to take care of him the next day when I was off. We actually sat down together and planned to witness to him. We decided that sharing our faith was essential for him. It was truly amazing to see the Holy Spirit work through this situation. Have a blessed day Pastor! We are blessed to be nourished by your ministry!

That’s a great story! Thanks a lot for sharing. I’m encouraged to hear how you and your coworker shared your faith, and God blessed you. May the Holy Spirit continue to give you courage and the words to say when you have the chance to declare your faith in Jesus. God bless you!
